A Bum's Life
Most people find being bum as boring but for me it isn't. Before going deeper with the life I had when I'm a bum, I accidentally thought of finding the true meaning of bum. According to www.dictionary.com, it says that bum is an enthusiast of a specific sport or recreational activity, esp. one who gives it priority over work, family life, etc. It did actually fit with the life I had being bum.
Dancing is my passion! I considered dancing and music as my best friend. No one can ever take that fact away from me. I loved my days of being bum because all I'm doing is taking dance classes. To take a peek on how I dance here's a sample video: G Style w/ Gerald Manangan (Love Me Right). I also did breakdancing! ohh yeeaah! I never imagined myself to attend breakdancing classes but since I was born to be curious and adventurous, I attended every session. Aside from learning different dances, I also learned so many lifelong learnings through these classes. Examples of what I learned: "Be teachable! Be open-minded!", "Dance has three dimensions: SONIC, DEFINITION, GROOVE. If you don't understand these words that means you're not dancing." (I might post another blog defining these three words and I hope it might inspire you too!
You should be thankful to Him with whatever you have right now. At some point you should give something back in return to thank Him for all the blessings you've been receiving. Being bum for four months made me an instrument of love and change lives of other people. I was able to serve Him through Days with the Lord. I'm also thankful that I was invited to become a staffer not only once bu twice. I hesitated to accept the invitation at first but He always do things that surprises me and make me say YES to the invitation. I'm doing all of these because my Days experience had a big impact in my life and I want to return the overflowing love I received to others. If you're super curious about it COME AND SEE DAYS WITH THE LORD. You'll never regret it! promise!
Since I hate being bored I'm finding several ways just to keep me busy. I get to attend so many VTRs, auditions, go-sees. Plus! I also helped so much in the Star Magic Workshops office. It was fun! I learned so many things with these doings. I should have a commercial right now but then it was really not meant to me because on the day of the commercial shoot, I failed to woke up! yeeaah! so disappointing but I need to accept it. I get to meet different kinds of people by helping in the Star Magic Workshops office. My communication skills was challenged to the fullest especially when there are people who would cry infront of you or even plead to the nth level just to have a slot in the workshop.
I also had an experience to teach Taekwondo in my bum's life! Since my big brother is not available because of his studies, I'm his substitute! yeeaaah! I almost surrendered teaching kids because they're f*cking crazy as hell! They even called me Mr. Punisher because all I'm doing is to punish them every single wrong doing. I'm just showing my strict side and Taekwondo is all about discipline. what's the point of learning the martial art if you don't have DISCIPLINE in your body.
Dreams do actually come true! I can prove that! I also said to myself that God is really great. He gives me what I'm actually dreaming. I get to have celebrity friends. I was able to watch a theater play starred by Japanese actors. The title of the play was 5 Days of March. I got amazed with everything in that play! It's my first time to see that kind of play and it was awesome! Body movements is the focus of the play. Plus! it's like you're a part of the play by having actors talking to you. I also attended a very intense and extensive Dance workshop with Lenny Len! An international known choreographer! I was so happy that time at the same time shocked because the way he teaches a dance routine is like a car running 100 miles per hour! I just got lucky to follow with his steps that time. hahaha! I think I already forgot the steps we had! hahaha!
Life without party is boring! I even manage to attend so many parties, nothingness, bar gigs and everything despite having a problem with money. This where the quote: "If there's a will, there's a way!" hahaha! Probably you're thinking I would borrow money from others. You're dead wrong! hahaha! I get to bond with my barkada and friends on a weekday! hahaha! I also had the feeling of being free cause I had a work that almost took freedom away from me by making me work 7 days a week and yet it's not enough for them. boo! anyway past is past! Party like it's the end of the world! yeeeaaahh!
Money problem makes a bum's life boring. When you think about losing money and trying to deprive yourself with something, it will surely make you feel bored. Why not try to explore yourself more while being bum? Get to know your true interest in life and make it grow. Bond with the people you loved the most while you have so many time. Always think positive and always move forward. Never enclose yourself from the past. Past is there to make you learn and make your present much better than it. Explore! Life is all about exploration! By exploring different kinds of things, you get to know yourself more. These are the things I did which makes my BUM'S LIFE a really worth memories!
